Adhesive is the hidden spec that decides whether a label stays put or becomes a return problem. Pick adhesive based on the surface + temperature + exposure.
Start with the surface
- Glass / smooth plastic: most permanents work (choose based on exposure)
- Textured plastic / powder coat: higher tack is often needed
- Squeeze tubes: flexing + oils change everything (spec for edge lift)
Then the environment
- Cold / condensation: freezer-grade constructions help prevent edge lift
- Oils / chemicals: film + the right adhesive reduces failure risk
- Removable use: tell us “must remove clean” (not just “removable”)
