What file format should I send for label printing?

Last updated: 2026-01-05

Send a print-ready file and we can proof quickly. Send a screenshot and we’ll be chasing missing fonts and low-res logos.

Best formats (in order)

  • PDF (print-ready) with fonts outlined/embedded
  • AI / EPS (vector) for logos and crisp type
  • SVG (vector) if it’s clean and not flattened

Minimum image quality (if you don’t have vector)

  • 300 dpi at final print size (not “scaled up”)
  • CMYK preferred; RGB is workable but expect proof adjustments
  • Avoid JPEG compression on fine type (it turns to mush)

Fast checklist (what we look for)

  • Bleed and safe area (if your design goes to the edge)
  • Legible type at final size (especially ingredients/warnings)
  • Barcode/QR contrast and quiet zones
  • Correct dieline if you have a custom shape
