Die-cut (through-cut)
- Cut through the label material (and often the liner) into individual pieces
- Best for: singles, handouts, small runs, custom shapes delivered as individual labels
Kiss-cut
- Cut through the label material but not the backing/liner
- Best for: sheets or rolls where the backing stays intact for easy peel
